Impromptu Innovation Pitches – Fall 2016

The three main objectives of an IIP session is to:
a) Provide an opportunity for students to learn about trending topics in the African entrepreneurship space
b) Train students to think critically under pressure while working in a team
c) Improve students public speaking skills

Our first IIP session tackled “Elections in African Countries: Using Entrepreneurship to Solve Election Challenges and Enhance Election Processes.”

Three teams were formed and each team selected an entrepreneurial challenge to:
a) Create an accessible voting process
b) Create a transparent and credible vote counting system
c) Encourage diversity of opinion and freedom of speech during elections
